Life Transition: Your Growth & Well-being
In an act of curiosity in others expertise and a commitment to community engagement and building, I am inviting a variety of Piedmont-based practitioners and community advocates and artists to use this space to showcase their very unique talents and love of community and humanity. I’d love to chat, if you’d like to collaborate and be featured in a future blog! Send me a message!
I am honored to introduce the first of this series, Robert Baggett, who is the owner/Certified Life Coach of Cultivate WS. He holds a master’s diploma in Classical Chinese Medicine and is in the final stages of opening his practice of acupuncture and Chinese Medicine in the Piedmont. (Disclaimer: He also happens to be my life partner and father to our three doglets!)
In peace and growth,
Lisa
LIfe Transitions: Your life Growth & well-being
By Guest Blogger Robert Baggett, M. Dip. Ac., CLC, CRC
Life is full of changes.
Life is full of new experiences.
Life is full of opportunities.
But sometimes we’re not ready for the changes, the new experiences; and, thus, we find ourselves unable to fully embrace the opportunities. It leaves us asking ourselves: What can I do differently? How can I better prepare for when opportunities arise?
As a Winston-Salem Certified Life Coach at Cultivate WS, I specialize in helping people answer these questions through strategic discovery, visioning, mapping, goal setting, and support through accountability measures, while celebrating each achievement along the way.
If we approach life with vigor, tenacity, and planning, we can assure ourselves that we’re doing everything possible to succeed.
So, what does that look like?
> Are you entering your final year of college, thinking about what’s beyond campus?
> Maybe you’re moving through midlife and experiencing a major career transition?
> Or maybe you’re about to retire, and “the next phase of life” seems a bit unclear?
Any of these scenarios call to us to look at your life stage from a big picture POV.
What’s our approach? What’s first?
Let’s consider your aspirations, personal values and strengths, wellness-state, and vision for the future. I know this sounds big, but to fully envision our future we must uncover the foundations upon which these ideas and values exist. This type of discovery work will underpin your objectives and goals. This is how we fully flesh out your Intake Assessment and Visioning.
The next step in our work together will be to support your efforts with a strong earth-bound connection. In eastern philosophy, a strong natural world connection facilitates healing work, thoughtful visioning, and personal cultivation. These practices can be connected to traditional movements such as Tai Chi, Meditation, and Qigong or another pursuit that you find supportive. It’s all about Discovering Your Movement and Exploring Your Connection with the Natural World. Together these pursuits will support your well-being while navigating life change.
As we continue the work to ensure successful Life Transitions, we’ll identify key points regarding “where you want to be”. This is a critical and very nuts-and-bolts part of the work. Together we’ll identify and document your SMART Goals. This is an important step that leans on an evidence-based technique: Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound goals.
Next, we’ll identify your support system by looking at family, friends, mentors, and other folks in your orbit who can be a positive sounding board for your life. We’ll be intentional with choice and check-in, finding those who can help support your pursuits and share honestly. By Cultivating Accountability, you’ll give yourself the best chance to reach your goals.
Finally, to support you in your pursuit of new opportunities, we’ll develop a Map for Growth and Well-being. This map will identify objectives, milestones, and goals so you can track your endeavors and build on every small accomplishment along the way. You’ll also develop a narrative version of Your Story that can evolve with each step of the journey.
As a Certified Life Coach (CLC) and practitioner of Chinese Medicine I use my training, 25+ years of successful business experience, and understanding of eastern philosophy and medicine to inform our work together broadly and openly. I employ Positive Psychology Coaching and mindfulness techniques to support you as we collaborate on the development of your growth map.
Together, we’ll focus on the cultivation of your story and your success.

About Robert Baggett, M. Dip. Ac., CLC, CRC
Robert Baggett, M. Dip. Ac., CLC, CRC is curious, collaborative, empathetic, and rigorous — traits and skills he’s been honing since day one of his 25+ year career. Just like his clients, he’s found himself in places and times of transition. He took a passion and interest in holistic health modalities and began his journey toward becoming an eastern medicine practitioner. While completing his Masters in Classical Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, he completed his training to become a Certified Life Coach (CLC).
His thought: Take the expertise developed during 25+ years of business success, integrate the foundations and philosophies of eastern medicine and pair it with the practical nature of coaching. It makes for a balanced, collaborative, supportive approach to helping people along their path toward contentment.
